A trans woman who ran a prostitution ring with women popular on social media has been arrested in Hanoi.

Hanoi police said Quang Binh native Phan Than Luong, 25, was the ring leader of a business "brokering sex services."

Officers at the Ministry of Public Security said Saturday that Luong recruited attractive women with many social media followers for her business.

She told police that she had to pay 20-40 million dong ($864-1,730) for each service, including overnight stays.

She also offers multi-day sex tours for $5,000-7,000 each.

Salary directly negotiates prices and locations with customers before sending prostitutes through various accounts on social networks.

Last Thursday night, police discovered two women aged 21 and 24 providing sexual services to two Vietnamese men after raiding a luxury apartment project in Ngoc Khanh ward, District 3. Dinh.

The suspicion of two sex workers led to Luong.

Police said they found ketamine and methamphetamine in addition to documents related to the prostitution ring at Luong's residence in Thanh Xuan district.

According to Vietnam's Penal Code, sex workers are warned and fined 100,000-300,000 VND (4 USD.December 26.78), while pimps and prostitutes can be jailed for six months to five years.
