On May 30, guided missile stealth frigate the INS Satpura and corvette the INS Kirch of the Indian Navy docked at Cam Ranh in Khanh Hoa Province, starting a four-day visit to Vietnam.

INS Satpura is 142.5 meters long and 16-meter wide, with a displacement of 6,200 tonnes. It has a top speed of 32 knots and 257 crew. The ship is equipped with radar, sensors and electronic warfare systems.

The INS Satpura is also equipped with cruise missiles, rockets and torpedoes. Rear Admiral V Soonil Bhokare (Fleet Commander, Eastern Naval Command of India) said this is the first time the Indian Navy has visited Cam Ranh. The visit takes place in the context of growing bilateral relations and defense ties between Vietnam and India.

Corvette INS Kirch has eight guided anti-ship missile launchers, four torpedo launchers and two rocket launchers.

Corvette INS Kirch is 91.1 meter longs and 10.5 meters wide with a displacement of 1,400 tons. Modern weapons are stationed on the ship's observation points.

On deck there is a helipad and an area to discuss combat plans and do physical exercise.

There are also two highspeed boats on the ship for search and rescue operations. The INS Satpura and INS Kirch will leave Cam Ranh on June 3.
