Four men in the north-central Ha Tinh Province are being investigated after fighting each other over a sport field inside a Covid-19 quarantine zone.

Dao Viet Anh Hao, 34, Tran Minh Thanh, 24, Phan Hai Dang, 32, and Ngo Xuan Dinh, 28, were put under house arrest by police of Huong Son District on Friday for the alleged "disturbance of public order."

The four used to work overseas before returning to Vietnam in mid-March, and were placed in a Covid-19 quarantine zone in Huong Son.

On March 30, Dinh and a friend were playing football when there was a conflict with some volleyball players in Hao's group.They began verbally abusing each other to take control of the scene.The next morning, Hao, Thanh, Dinh and Duc fought with their sticks, pipes and limbs.The scuffle was eventually broken up by the police.

Ha Tinh has isolated over 200 people in quarantine zones as of September.

As part of Covid-19 containment measures, since March, Vietnam has been conducting Covid-19 testing and quarantining all people entering the country for 14 days.
