Da Nang City confirmed eight Covid-19 recoveries Thursday, bringing down the national active cases count to 254.
Five of the recovered patients, aged 21-72, were treated at the Hoa Vang District Field Hospital, and the rest, aged 19-65, at the Da Nang Lung Hospital.They have tested negative for the new coronavirus at least three times.
On Thursday, there were no new Covid-19 cases, but an 83-year-old woman in Da Nang died of severe pneumonia and respiratory failure due to Covid-19 at Hoa Vang Hospital.Doctors said she also had a blood infection.
Up to now, Vietnam has recorded 1,046 cases of Covid-19 and 35 deaths.All deaths caused by Covid-19 were due to underlying conditions such as kidney failure, cancer and diabetes.
