National flags flew high across Vietnam as fans celebrated the country's victory over the Philippines on Thursday night. Coach Park Hang-seo and the boys have done the nation proud.

Flares were lit in Saigon. Vietnam was cock-a-hoop over the 2-1 second leg semifinal victory over the Philippines at the My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi.

One bride and groom made it a day to remember. After 10 years, Vietnam is in the AFF Cup final again.

Vo Tung, who took his family of five out to celebrate, said:"This is too amazing. Our team will definitely win this cup."

The national flag was held aloft all over the country.

On Hanoi's Hang Bai Street, people were in full party mode.

96 year-old Nguyen Thi Su brought out the drums on Hanoi's Phan Boi Chau Street.

The central city of Hue got into the act, too.

All of Vietnam celebrated the men’s football team’s latest victory.

Fans carry everything that can make loud noises, like a spoon to bang on a tray.

Fans are stuck on the streets, yet they are all smiles.

A group of fans hit a Hanoi street together in a truck.

Another group takes a motorbike rickshaw.

Vietnam booked a berth in the final of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 with 4-2 semifinal aggregate over the Philippines. They will play the first leg of the finals away in Malaysia on December 11, and the second leg at home in Hanoi on December 15.
